STATEMENT OF MAYOR VERBOSKY
REGARDING PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP
REVENUE SHARING AGREEMENT MADE AT
ROSSFORD CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 11, 2005
It was reported last week in the media that the Perrysburg Township Board of Trustees, through its legal representative has made demands for certain payments under the 1993 revenue sharing agreement between the City of Rossford and Perrysburg Township.
Over the past few months, Mr. Ciecka and I have had informal conversations with township officials concerning this and other outstanding issues. Mr. Check and I also even met with the County Auditor earlier this year to gather information on this matter.
It has always been my desire since being elected to improve communications with the township and to try to find amicable resolutions to issues that have arisen from the past administrations of both of our political subdivisions. These efforts have even included me attending a Wood County Commissioner’s meeting and a regular Perrysburg Trustee meeting at their building last year.
I would hope that this latest issue can be resolved without further involving the legal system, and that through positive dialogue, we may come to a resolution satisfying both the City of Rossford and Perrysburg Township. |

On July 5, 6, 7, and 8th, 2005, the Rossford Public Works Department will be testing fire hydrants in the following area: Areas north of the Toledo Terminal Railroad Tracks.
The hydrant flushing may result in rusty or discolored tap water in these areas during the test period. The Public Works Department recommends that before use, residents first should allow the water to run until the discoloration disappears. |
