Contractor Registration
On April 24, 2023 Rossford City Council passed Ord 2023-23 creating Chapter 1337 of the Rossford Municipal Code requiring residential and commercial contractors that are providing services in the city to be registered.
The following Residential Contractors are required to register annually with the City of Rossford, Ohio, Zoning Department before conducting work within the City of Rossford, Ohio:
(1) Residential General Contractor Initial Fee $150- Renewal fee $100
(2) The following Residential only Contractors: Fee $100 - Renewal fee $50
i. Residential Electrical Contractor
ii. Residential Plumbing Contractor
iii. Residential HVAC Contractor
iv. Residential Sewer/Stormwater Sewer Contractor
v. Residential Solar Contractor
vi. Residential Concrete/Paving Contractor
vii. Residential Demolition Contractor
All Commercial/Industrial Contractors and subcontractor are required to register with the Zoning Department before conducting work within the City of Rossford, Ohio:
(1) Commercial General Contractor Fee $600 – Renewal fee $500
(2) Commercial Contractors and subcontractors Fee $100 – Renewal fee $50
The Commercial General Contractor is responsible for creating and managing the construction schedule, organizing, and managing the construction jobsite, verifying subcontractor registration with the Regional Income Tax Authority (RITA), overseeing all applications for permits and inspections and conducting a pre-construction meeting as required by the Zoning Department.
